Hours and Directions to our Newcastle farm (1 mile from I-80 at the Newcastle off-ramp)

For 2021, due to Covid precautions, our farm is only available for curbside pick up of produce ordered in advance. Hours for pick up are currently daily from 1-5 pm. Order using these links on our website and you can pick up within 2 hours. Our products are also available to be shipped to your door through the US Postal Service, and are represented in the harvest to order box programs of the Tahoe Food Hub and FEED Sonoma.

Our farm is in Newcastle, California which is in Placer County below the town of Auburn. We are at 9911 Quail Hill Drive in Newcastle, California.  It is very easy.  Coming East on 80 take the Newcastle Exit.  At the light take a sharp right onto Newcastle Road. Coming west on 80 take the Newcastle Exit and turn left to go back over the freeway.  At the light continue onto Newcastle Road.

Once on Newcastle Road drive by the Denny’s on your left and a bit further you will turn at the first left which is Glenview.  After 1/2 mile or so Glenview crosses the canal and when it turns left after the canal you go straight instead of staying on Glenview.  You will go right up the hill at this point, and you are now on Quail Hill Drive. We are the first house on the left at the top of the hill which is 9911 Quail Hill Drive. You will see the gate which says Burgeson Family Farm. Our phone number is 916-663-4352.  Email: burgesonfamilyfarm@gmail.com

  8. I would love to try your mandrines. I bought a back for a local grower and they dont seem to ge as sweet as I remember. Do you sell to individuals

    • We do sell our mandarins to the general public but they are not ready yet. If you buy mandarins from a grower in our area now, they will probably disappoint you as it is too early to harvest. Even the mandarin festival is too early. Our mandarins are sweet because we wait until they are ready which will be sometime after Thanksgiving. We will post on this website when we begin to harvest. Thank you for visiting our site and I hope to see you around the beginning of December at our farm.

    • We are now open for Satsuma Mandarin sales. Most weekends we will be open from 12 to 4 pm but you can also contact us to arrange pick up at another time. The mandarins are 15 dollars for a 10 pound bag. Thanks!
